I started college again around 24 years old, trying to get a degree and experience college life, having skipped it after High School. It's pretty miserable, by the way. Learning was great. Interacting with spoiled children... not so much.

I majored in Cinema, and two things happened in my time at school: I started working in a photo lab, becoming much more familiar with technology and the process of making a photograph. I also started talking with other fine young people in Cinema, who actually were photography fans as much as filmmaking fans. The proverbial bug bit me, and I've not been able to let go since.

The photos I take vary in subject and feel. I like contrast; it reminds us that there are little dark places hiding in all the bright happy places, and vice versa. As per the site name, I am partially colorblind, so don't pick on my color quality, I like it the way you see it. I don't know where my "home" in photography is, and while I worry about it, I don't let it consume me.

I work for Stuyvesant Photo in Stuyvesant Plaza, in Guilderland/Albany/Colonie. It's a dream job if there was one, and I have no intentions of quitting, ever. And that's OKAY.

I suppose at some point I'll catalog my cameras here, but for the most part I shoot with a modified Canon D60, Canon AE-1, Bronica SQ-B, a Polaroid Land 350, customized Polaroid Joycam, an Ansco Buster Brown #2, Graflex Speed Graphic, Zeiss Ikon Contessa, and a Balda Baldalux that has been making me angry as of late. And a Canon SD1000 running CHDK. And a bunch of other stuff. I ALWAYS have a new project in the works.

Check back in the future, maybe my life will change or something (it did! - 09/09). Visit Facebook for more information, or to see what kind of embarassing life I lead.
