CANON FD60 SAMPLE WORK I've been doing some testing with the Canon D60 I modified to use the FD lenses. While on one hand, I definitely want some photos that have crisp focus and nice shallow depth of field, I also need to make sure this machine is a viable device, and operates under the theory it was born to. Well, it works. And from Friday's foray into the frozen wastelands of Cohoes, it seems to work pretty well! There are quite a few things to iron out, for sure. The viewfinder seems pretty dark, and I can't tell if the focus is 100% accurate. These things will get addressed in due time, but out of 130 shots, 55 or so were truly very nice, or potentially acceptable for printing or presenting. I processed most of these Canon RAW files through the Photo Pro software, because the D60 does not excel at color accuracy nor sharpness. The lenses I shot with were a Sigma 28mm f2.8 Mini-Wide, and a Vivitar 55mm f2.8 Auto-Macro, both very nice little lenses in their own right. The majority of shots were taken with the former, which has a decent macro function itself. Some shots were polarized, also.
